The Northern Tier Symphony Orchestra – a 501(c)3 nonprofit orchestra – is the ONLY community orchestra based in the Northern Tier Region of Pennsylvania.  Our mission is to provide high quality performances of the world’s finest music to residents throughout the Northern Tier Region.

The Symphony musicians are integral members of their communities, and teach at universities and school districts across the Region.   They represent the extensive range of talent that the Northern Tier has to offer, including players who have previously performed with such prestigious groups as the President’s Own Marine Corp Band, the U.S. Army and Air Force Bands, New York Philharmonic, Radio City Music Hall, the Bogota, Columbia Symphony, the American Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, New Orleans Symphony, Pittsburgh Opera and Ballet Company, Knoxville Symphony, Garden State Philharmonic and the Buffalo Philharmonic, to name a few.

Performances by the Northern Tier Symphony have regularly sold out the 600 seats in our base venue of Tunkhannock, prompting us to add additional performances venues in Towanda, and now in Wayne Co.

By sponsoring the Northern Tier Symphony, you will be instrumental in providing high quality cultural access for the people of the Northern Tier Region, while utilizing the Region’s own wealth of talent.
